FNF Exorcist” ft. Miku (English)

Okay so if you haven’t heard “Exorcist” (aka アクマバライ, Akumabarai) yet, buckle up, because it’s exactly the kind of chaotic Vocaloid song that was destined to become a Friday Night Funkin mod eventually. Now that it has, you can actually play along to it instead of just replaying the video on loop like the rest of us.

Who actually made this

Credit where it’s due: the original track comes from producer Something’s off with my Vocaloid, with the art and video handled by Ichimaru. But the version you’ll actually hear in the mod isn’t the Japanese original — it’s the English cover from Tomoe Carmine, who translated the lyrics and posted her own version. Seriously, go watch her full cover after you’re done with the mod, it’s worth it.

The plot, because yes, there is one

Here’s the setup: Ui likes a guy. Then Miku shows up next to him, just casually existing in her vicinity. Instead of doing anything reasonable, Ui asks an AI chatbot what she should do about it — and the chatbot’s response is basically “have you tried performing an exorcism on her?” And that’s the whole song. It sounds sweet and poppy on the surface, but the actual content is completely unhinged, and that whiplash between “cute idol song” and “actively plotting to banish a rival with spiritual warfare” is exactly why it blew up online. The mod leans into that same chaotic energy, turning the song’s manic build-up into a note chart you can actually sweat through.
