FNF: Huggy Mix Lets You Actually Play as Huggy Wuggy This Time

Tired of playing against Huggy Wuggy? FNF: Huggy Mix flips things around and puts you in his shoes instead. You’ll be singing his remixed takes on classic Friday Night Funkin tracks, plus squaring off against him in a fresh three-song week before you get to play as him.

Basically, picture the Playable Pico update, except swap Pico out for the blue guy from Poppy Playtime. The whole thing was built solo by DaPootisBird — directing, animating, coding, and charting all handled by one person. It dropped back in September 2025.

So Who’s “Bug”?

The Huggy Wuggy you fight here isn’t exactly the horror-game version — he’s called Bug, and he’s got his own look: shorter and stockier, with big red lips and eyes that pop out like googly eyes. A lot of his design, his stage, and some of his note patterns are throwbacks to the original 2021 Vs. Huggy Wuggy mod, so there’s some nostalgia baked in for anyone who played that one.

Bug’s the boss of the new week, “WHAT ONE IS YOUR HAPPY?” Beat him, and he flips from opponent to playable character for the rest of the mod.

How Much Content Are We Talking?

24 songs in total. Three are brand-new originals made specifically for the Bug week, and the other 21 are Huggy-fied remixes of existing FNF songs. Things kick off with “I’m Huggy!” from Sakuroll.

The remixes cover pretty much the whole base game starting at Tutorial, and a handful even come with their own little cutscenes. If you’re picking just one to try first, go with the Senpai remix — Senpai spots Huggy Wuggy on stage and completely loses his mind, and honestly the dialogue leading into the song is funnier than the song itself.

There’s also a tie-in with the VS Adam Sandler mod tucked in there, which pretty much tells you everything about the vibe this mod’s going for. It’s not trying to scare you — it’s a joke mod that just happens to have really well-made charts.

A Few Tips

The original Bug week songs borrow a lot of the same tricky note patterns from the 2021 Huggy mod, so if you’ve played that before, you’ll recognize the jack patterns coming back. Best to practice the remixes on easy or normal first — the Bug week originals are fast and unforgiving if you drop your combo. Also Play FNF Bang Bang Bang and FNF Exorcist” ft. Miku (English)

Also, seriously, don’t skip the cutscenes on your first playthrough. Half the charm of this mod is in the little story bits, not just the gameplay.
