“Friday Night At The Pizza Tower: Vs. Peppino” is a modification of the well-known 2D platformer Pizza Tower, which is influenced by the Wario Land series. On a Friday evening in the Dearest House, Boyfriend orders pizza to liven things up for himself and Girlfriend. But, an evil pizza intervenes, teleporting them to the enigmatic Pizza Tower. There, they encounter Peppino, a devoted single pizza producer who braved a perilous adversary known as Pizza Face while scaling the enormous tower. Peppino mistakes Boyfriend for a fresh menace but Boyfriend suggests a rap music battle to prevent violence and solve the issue. The protagonists then take part in an intense musical fight through 8 rhythm-based songs that feature stunning visuals that remain true to the original game’s aesthetics. The pixel art style and the diverse, carefully-crafted artworks make it feel like you’re actually part of the game. According to the creator, the Friday Night At The Pizza Tower mod is still in development and is about 20% done at the moment. It offers a promising outlook for original music set to be introduced in future updates.
